K&N air filter for stock setup

if you're going to all the trouble of getting in to pulling the restrictor plate, how much more work if it to just cut up the airbox and put on pods? seems like if you're gonna go that far, you may as well go all the way.

its not reg paper its made to be washed and recharged with oil.

By "paper" I was referring to the original stock filter.

(Slightly off topic, because the initial post involves a bike WITH an airbox)

Here's a pic of K&N cones mounted on stock Keihin CVK 36s with the airbox removed. My problem with this setup is that the side covers "rest" on top of the K&N cones and thus don't "drop" squarely on the two orientation pins. That is why I'm researching a different filter that is angled down 15 degrees.
