Winter riding

Some people consider the Scrambler too heavy for winter riding. It's not too heavy. You can manage on snowy forest roads if you have skills and temper.

Today I rode some 40 km on snowmobile tracks and forest roads.

They protect the engine against snow. I'll take them off when spring comes.

I ride in winter religously, day break with a coupla inches of snow, nothing compares!

Do you have any studs in the knobby tires?

I don't want to ride my bike in winter mainly because of the road salt they use here. It has rusted out my pickup truck badly.

'New' Scrambler

I just picked mine up today in Indiana...not ready to ride in snow yet, so opted for an overcast, 45degree day...about as nice as I can expect. Although we really are having a mild winter.

Here's a pic while at Dealer's last week before I got it today. Already have removed the 'plates' from the sides.
