Tank badges on speedmaster

Are tank badges on speedmaster (2007) fixed with sealed anchor nuts? I am thinking of repainting my bike and not refitting the badge. If it does leave holes in the tank what tips do you recommend to seal / fill the holes?

Not sure what a "Sealed anchor nut" is but if you remove whatever's holding the badges on, you're left with 4 threaded holes. Fill em with liquid metal or any body repair paste.

I mean sealed as in petrol would not get out with the screw removed or more importantly that filler / bog / goo (whatever) would not fall inside the tank or get affected by the petrol after a period of time.

your good...they are sealed. You can remove your badges and nothing will leak out.

If you want the option of having the badges on or off You can put a couple chrome acorn nuts on short studs in the holes.

My cousing did the same stuff on its 2006 SM, and worked very fine during the repainting.
