Speed Triple clutch fix

The first weekend aboard the brand new Speed Triple was spoiled by an excessively notchy gear lever action particularly when changing up when pressing on a little. I know I know, we're supposed to be running it in but it's a bit like being asked to hold back in the bedroom on yer weddin' night if ya know what I mean!
We had the same problem with a new Tiger 1050 so we had a little experience to draw on. Basically, pull the clutch plates out, wash the sticky residue off in the Kero wash tub then ressamble. Voila!

Laying the bike carefully on it's side allows the removal of the sidecovers without having to drop the oil.

The bare engine innards look pretty darn good with Triumphs precision engineering and design. The gear lever action while perhaps not as slick as a Suzuki or KTM box, is 200 percent better than what it was and is no longer the 'sore' point of the bike. In fact I dont think there is a sore point now. Pretty darn perfect I reckon!

Velocity pipes save exactly 5.1kgs over the stock system.
