Street Tracker
The Sharp organization has created a new safety rating for helmets that have already recieved an ECE REG 22.05, DOT or SNELL certification. They use a 5 star rating system with 1 star being minimum standard and 5 excellent.
They purchase the helmets from retail stores, just like you and I would do, and then they perform 32 tests on each model, using 7 different helmets of various sizes.
The Bell, Shark and Shoei brands performed quite well. You'll find some high end/expensive helmets scored 2 and 3 star ratings.
