my son brought home a 2003 Sportster 1200c with monkey bars and gyno pegs
typical loud pipes without proper jetting
lots of skull bling
7500 miles for $2000
I can understand the low mileage as i would be embarrassed to ride it too

now we have to try to make it into a motorcycle :mad2:

Nice price of admission. Leaves plenty of cash for doo rags and chaps. :)

The peg location on Harleys drives me nuts...even their 'mid-mounts' are so far forward you can't get your chest into the wind to balance at speed. Hopefully someone out there makes a decent set of rearsets. I found the brakes to be wooden and the suspension inadequate for even the low-speed crusing that most folks on these bikes seem to be enamoured with...

M bars, rearsets, 2/1 pipe, "flat" seat
I would like to put two sportster 19" front wheels on it (21 in front now) i think there is a spacer kit available to adapt a front wheel to the rear

$2000... holy crap! Guess the guy selling it needed to move it and there are so many of them for sale, 2000 is the going rate to move it fast. Sounds like your son is going to have some fun with it though. Good on him!
