FS: Arai Signet-Q Helmet / Large

Purchased March 2014 and used lightly. I used it a few times riding around locally but found my Arai Vector to be more suited to my liking.

It’s been sitting in my gear closet not getting much use, so It’s time to let it go and put the $$$ towards something else.

It’s in overall great shape but does have a few light scratches that are hardly noticeable. But it’s never been dropped or crashed as you can see from the photo’s. There was a Scala Rider attached to the left side (see photo’s of where you can see the indentations in the bottom rubber ring), but I would imagine over time, these marks should relax and become less noticeable.

The helmet does have a smoke colored pin-lock shield attached and comes with a brand new clear pin-lock that was taken off before the helmet was ever used, so it’s essentially brand new.

Nice helmet, I might add I also went with the Vector II because it was more comfortable than the Signet Q. The Signet Q is designed for someone that's head is longer from front to back. Those that experience a hot spot on their forehead would be a canidate for the Signet Q.

Let me just say my comment was based on many hours of research. Yes your comment is fairly accurate when you say head shapes are different. Actually there are three types, round, intermediate oval and those that are a little beyond that. Many riders have no idea what head shape they have and that different brand helmets come in different shapes. Those with intermediate oval shape heads buying round shape helmets will experience the typical hot spot on the center of their forehead. The most common mistake is buying the helmet to large to eliminate the pressure point in the forehead area. The Arai company is one of the few that offer a choice of helmet shapes. I have been riding since 1974 and have always bought size large helmets. I even had one helmet that was a size XL. After doing a lot of research I discovered my head shape is intermediate oval and the Arai Vector II in a size medium was a proper fit. I did try a Signet Q but it was a little to long from front to rear. I would also like to add I do not work for the Arai company they just happen to be the brand I ended up choosing. Anyone that wants to learn more about helmets should really watch the Arai video explaining proper fit, very informative. Hope this information helps someone since that is my intent.
