    bar risers for 2010 Thruxton

Thanks for the tip, can that be done gradually w/out removing everything. Ex-loosening the controls and slowly turning the bars and the controls to match?

    Bye to Thruxton hello Moto-Guzzi

1500 miles to date, no problems, just pure power-inspiring fun. has similar appeal as the thruxton, people coming up to it on rides and inquiring about it. Stay safe people, lots of m/c fatalities lately. Dave-

    Bye to Thruxton hello Moto-Guzzi

Traded the thruxton in a few weeks ago for a leftover 2008 moto-guzzi breva 1200 sport. What a ride, heavier and more powerful than the thruxton but handles the same if not better in the turns. I guess the italian bikes made and test driven in the mountains really helps. The guzzu grunt...

    "New" used car shopping

I was also thinking about getting a sports car lately. I looked at some used mazda miata's (2006) Super reliable and fun from what Ive read and seen. I had an audi in the past and there problematic and parts are expensive. As we all know from our past japanese bikes, most of there bikes and...

Wear indicator on stock rear tire?

I notice on my stock rear tire (11k miles) there is a line down the middle of the tire that goes around the whole tire. But the snake tread seems to be 4/32 in depth Any ideas?

    12k service

Funny you should say that, i bought a used Thruxton from a dealer last year and after they put on the heli-bars, i was talking to the tech about the 12000 check/valves. He said you dont really need to even do that until 18000 miles as these bikes are good. As I approach 11-12k, the bike still...

    2007 Scrambler, NEW to me!

Good luck w/ the Scrambler. You dont see too many w/ the b&w tank. Throw on some black pinstripes on the front fender to highlight it. Is that an 82 yamaha seca turbo 650 i see along w/ a honda ascot? Stay safe and enjoy the bike Dave-

    Any Mini Cooper owners?

I would have never thought about buying this car but I came across a used one and sat in it, and must say theres a lot of leg room and comfort for someone tall. I always kind of thought of it as a girls car but maybe I was wrong. Anyone here own one, feel free to write what you think of...

    Some doubts about Scrambler

As a former Scrambler owner, I can add the following. Very fun bike to ride around town, on the twisties and short freeway rides. Dont let the reduced HP deter you as it has more low end torque. for most people, its not a true off road bike as its too heavy. Some people have dumped lots of...

TORs + no snokle and no rejetting= better mpg

When I was only getting 120, I thought that was poor. Some how removing the snorkle and mantaining freeway speeds of 70-75 at a steady pace made it go up to 146, then about 30 or so miles on reserve. I have heard of some getting over 180 to a tank....

TORs + no snokle and no rejetting= better mpg

A little more grunt and growl when accelerating from 70mph and up. Also, you can hear it as it pulls. As much as I like these bikes, I did a 120 mile ride in the morning and a 70 mile ride now, its just not as comfortable as other bikes could be. (bmw or ducati)

TORs + no snokle and no rejetting= better mpg

Recently took out my snorkle for curiosity and a bit more grunt. After 2 fill ups i noticed i improved my mpg. Prior to this i could go to 120 like clockwork before hitting reserve. On the last 2 fill-ups, I got to 146 and then went to 172 on reserve and put in 3.5 gallons. TORs were on the...

For those that have this, does it obstruct access to the oil filter like the triumph one does. Pain to keep having to drop the rear section to do oil changes. Thanks, Dave-

    Bar end mirrors.

Not at all. Took about 10 minutes, 1st you assemble the mirror then you just install it into the bar end. I have the heli-bars so its a hollow bar end. there about $17 each.
