    Tool Tube anyone?

You'll get the tyre levers in if they're short but you won't get the tubes in. This Tool Tube is not as big as you might imagine or want. I put levers, repair patches, cable ties, sockets for the wheel nuts and a cable fixing kit in mine. It's full.

    Footpeg spacers.

I forgot to put in my original post.... 25mm or 1" outside diameter gives a nice clamping area and all seems pretty sturdy.

    Tool Tube anyone?

Yes it's Bacon the ADVriders forum mascot. I had him from the last week in June2009 up to the Stella Alpina rally in July and I took him to Slovenia, Triumph Tridays in Austria (same trip), for a train ride to London in my driving cab, on the English National road rally and finally down to the...

    Footpeg spacers.

For those of us that ride our scramblers on the dirt, we all know that the exhaust bends your right leg outwards and makes it hard to get your foot onto the peg when stood up. Well I decided to remedy that situation by having some spacers made to take the footpeg outwards. I went for 20mm for...

    Zard vs Arrow for Scrambler??

I went with Arrow for two reasons :- 1/ It's a Triumph accessory so the warranty is not affected. 2/ The Zard looks like it was knocked up in a shed compared to the finish on the Arrow. The sound is just loud enough to be enjoyable but not so loud so as to annoy anyone. Just right IMO.

    New Conti Trail Attacks

I got some new Continental tubes for my Tiger recently, they were made in India. I guess it's not problem in a Global economy so long as they're made and inspected to the standard set by the parent company. Afterall Triumph twins are now made in Thailand. I've been using Avon tyres on both my...

    Tool Tube anyone?

Mounted mine slightly differently.... TBH I made a bit of a hash of it but I needed to do it quickly before going on holiday on the bike. I bashed out a stainless steel bracket to come out from under the seat and used a couple VERY strong cable ties at the forward end to wrap around the...

That's impossible to answer since you don't list where you are on your (not filled out) profile.

    Alloy Rims on a Scrambler?

The odd thing about the BMW system is that the spoke tension is adjusted at the hub end. So to fit them onto the Scram would involve completely new hubs. Also strange that they don't fit this system onto the new F800 series. Or, indeed, any of the chain driven bikes. weird.

    Carrying tools

The fused wiring is already there. Triumph do a socket kit but it pokes out just above the exhaust...not good for the wires you're plugging in. I made my own bracket and mine now pokes out the non exhaust side.

    1968 Honda 350 SCrambler

Looks like Triumph copied that exhaust and just mirrored it for our Scrambler.

    Sram engine bars

I actually think that the engine bars will fit but anyway Rentec make some good crash bars for the Bonnie. Or the Triumph ones http://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/clothingAccessoriesPopup.aspx?GID=2 The bash plate just bolts straight on.

    Arrow 2 into 1 map

I would say that the map would be OK and the O2 sensors would just send a message to the ECU to throw more fuel on the fire.

    Mudbuster bash plate extension

I do agree about the visuals and a Mk2, neater two part cover will be made over winter. It's a shame you don't live in the UK because I have designs for all sorts of things (instrument panel, pannier frames...) for the Scram but my trouble is getting them made.......obviously I don't have all...

    A Possible Scrambler Convert?

I'll agree with the above comments. I'll add that my Scram got to places in the Italian Dolomites http://s396.photobucket.com/albums/pp48/black955tiger/ADV%20MEETING%202009/ this summer that more capable bikes (F800GS, KTM990S) didn't. Could be a rider thing but I would proffer that a less able...

    Carrying tools

I got me one of these http://www.adventure-spec.com/shop/trail-tools-and-essentials/motion-pro-trail-tool/prod_91.html and added some extra sockets to cover the smaller sizes not supplied. Great tool if a bit pricey but worth it IMO. I also fitted a "Tool Tube" along the left side to carry tyre...

    Arrow 2 into 1 map

My guess would be that the Brazil map would enable the bike to run Ethanol fuels. I had the Arrow pipe fitted and my dealer (JS Gedge, St.Leonards on sea) loaded the wrong map as well. (Not my dealer any more since he basically told me to "F" off if I didn't like what they'd done!!!) Anyway...

    Mudbuster bash plate extension

A nice try but I don't think it's wide enough and doesn't extend the protection underneath from stones come up from the tyre contact patch. Here's one I made a couple of months ago.... And here's some of the abuse it's taken... My one also uses the Triumph plate underneath.
