changing tires

i'm putting on new tires this weekend. . . actually a guy i know who has some old ducatis is going to do it. does anyone have anything to make sure i'm aware of? this is gonna be the first tire change i've actually taken part in.

what's the size of the hex nut on the front and rear?

I believe the axles are both 19mm and the nuts are 24mm...and you'll need a 6mm allen wrench for the fork bolt as well.

Nuts and bolts are easy, make sure he uses lube and rubber hammer when fitting new tyres, levers are for people who don't know how to do the job.

did you ever try to install a 6 ply Barum knobby without them?
that said I used only a very little bit of lever action to install the AVON Roadriders on my Bonneville and BMW
