my brother had a Mazda 626; it broke the timing belt so many times we got very familiar with it and could change it out in 20 minutes
good thing it was not an interference engine
I have an 07 MX5; it's fun

Right after my dad showed me the hidden,emergency key,he mentioned that this motor has a timing chain,and then pointed out "Sealix" tires.I got the feeling he had had a few breakdowns in the past...
As far as interference heads go,that "inventor" should be tied to the douche nozzle that came up with the fucking "roundabout", and insert your favorite torture here...

right you are, but had it not been an interference motor the valves would have survived the cam chain breaking.

I think I read somewhere that due to valve angle and lift, the interference motors perform better.
