is on TCM at O'dark thirty in the morning, about six hours from the time of this post. Might be worth some TiVo space.

Watched Blue last night....kind of puzzling here and there, and transparent as far as plot goes but some decent harley riding through sand and dirt.....
The leading "suit" going batshit crazy over the floozy blonde was, well, out of place in the movie as was the fellow bike cop going nutso and blazing away at Blake over the Electra glide....between that and the blithering desert rat who you knew shot the guy from the first moment you saw him frying pork chops was contrived as hell.
But, thinking back to when it was filmed (73) the atypical treatment of the "hippies" was apropos for the time but the "Easy Rider" ending (69) was a bit copycat in the end.
It's a classic good cop/bad cop scenario though, and mostly entertaining till the last 1/4 of the flick when waiting for the end you know is coming is a burden.
Quite likely a good predecessor to Blake's future work on the same theme.
Interesting read on his bio in Wickipedia though, he was probably best in the "our Gang" movies of the past.
