McQueen coolness meter

So here I am watching "The Blob"on TCM. It stars Steve McQueen. Sorry to say it's not his coolest role. As a matter of fact he's actually pretty dorky with only flashes of coolness.

So on the McQueen coolness meter I'd rate The Blob as a weak two as opposed to The Magnificent Seven being a strong nine.:vp:

His TV series Wanted Dead or Alive compares favorably with those movies, as does the movie Never So Few.

I was flippin' channels last night and ran into that movie as well. I heard his voice and said to the wife...I think that's Steve McQueen. I had forgotten that he was in that movie. Must have been one of his firsts, huh?
Certainly not high on his coolness meter.

McQueens Machines

MQueen's Machines is a pretty good book. His driving and attitude about cars and motorcycles is interesting. He used to work on James Dean's bike.
And it turns out early on he had an Austin Healey 100 6! cool!
