Dragon Rally 2011

Sorry for the delay chaps.

On the weekend of the 12th/13th February the 50th anniversary Dragon Rally was held in Snowdonia, North Wales.
1500 made their way and a good time was had. Great time with the German and Dutch sidecar enthusiasts who made the trip, arriving in Cardiff on the Thurdays before.

Took the XBR500, rather than the bonnie as it was having somework done.

Approaching Beddgelert from Llanberis

Wow, what a stunning view Monty! Dark, mysterious, ancient. It captures the imagination right off.

What kind of food and booze do they serve around there? Any pics of inside the local pubs? Did you guys stay warm and dry enough?

Great stuff! I went thru that area a long time ago....absolutely beautiful. Bet you were cold in that open-faced helmet. You are a real tough monkey!

No snow, just rain. Drizzle on the way up and poured all the way back.

As for food and booze Pepper, Friday night meant beef and Ginger casserole and copious amounts of Speckled Hen real ale. Saturday was various dishes and similar copious amounts of Old Tom real ale { handfull at 8.5% :beer:}.

Warm and dry throughout, apart from the swim home when the waterproofs finally let go with about thirty miles left.
