Front sprocket

I'm sorry I have to ask this but I'm not much of a wrench turner. Is changing the front sprocket something easily done myself? If so, I would like to lower the RPM's at cruising speed a touch and have the stock one on my 07 BA. Should I go with an 18 or a 19 tooth. Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes...its easy enough. Your 07 has an 18t so youll want a 19t.

Remove cover.
Remove nut holding on front sprocket.
Loosen rear tire.
Loosen adjusters.
Slide rear wheel forward loosening chain around front sprocket.
Swap sprocket and do everything in reverse.

I have a '09 Speedmaster. it came with a 18 & 42 tooth. I changed to a 17 tooth. Max 15 minute job! Difference is night and day. 70mph cruise is another 300-400 rpm. No big deal. The added acceleration is well worth it!
