cold weather starting

With the cooler weather the bonne takes about a dozen starter hits to get going. Guessing the carb heaters come into play here, and wondering if I had a cut off switch for the lights (headlight & 2- 10 wt led visionx) if this wouldn't help??

There is a head light cut out relay in the stock wiring that cuts out the headlight but I'm guessing your talking about something else for the led visionx???

Back when my bike had an airbox, i stuffed a rag into the intake to choke it more to get a richer mixture.
To me this indicates that the enricheners don't supply enough fuel when cold.
