Ditched the jittery stock speedo and tach, replaced them with the mikes xs speedo! Just makes me realize how much I HATE the stock gauge configuration!

Im going to powder coat the headlight bucket black and leave the trim ring chrome, going with an alternating black and chrome/shiny look. These bars are a rough draft as well, making the final here in a few days, then getting those powder coated as well.

Nice look with the mini speedo. Did you mock up the bars from some straight round stock or are those the stock ones heated and re-bent? I like where your going.

Thank you, Its nice to have a direction finally. These bars are 1/8" tube, they keep the vibration down alot. These are the mock up bars that I made to see if the geometry was to my liking, they have a few things that im not completely happy with, so Im going to jig these up and make another "final draft set".

I love it!! Understand the black and chrome idea, but I would not paint the headlight . Too muck black. right now the headlight sets off the triple tree and tank in that picture.. also someone once wrote about chrome headlights with blue sky and clouds fish eyeing around it.

Great looking bike easy13. See i like that, i was thinking of leaving my trim ring chrome, but still I have no idea. Still working on them, I have some stuff on order, and our mill is down. I want to make and maybe offer a pair of original looking footpegs, built with steel though, im working on a pair that is in the stock location and a pair that are raised a bit. See i like that, i was thinking of leaving my trim ring chrome, but still I have no idea

I'll be all over those stock-location pegs. I really miss not being able to stand on the pegs.

I gotta say, looking at this picture there is something very nice and retro going on here with the grips , the distressed looking bars,the tank,the speedo and the headlight. Something is working nice. Very old school, but subtle. Maybe the white grips are picking up the white tank stripes, I don't know but it looks cool.

Yeah your right, I was referring to a post by Speed3Chris about the bars but as I posted it he must have seen what he missed and removed his post. Sorry for the confusion, its all me.:cheers:
