Two Stroke
I need a place to vent and this is the place to do it.
Got off the train today to find the tail light smashed to bits, the rear fender bent and the bike pushed forward and jammed against a fence. A note was left on the bike - "Backed into the bike. Please contact, name and number." BACKED into the bike?!!! How the hell do you do that?! You have to drive past a spot, look, decide - hey that's and empty spot, then back up and still not see a white and orange motorcycle!! WTF!!! Glad I wasn't sitting on the bike.
As I was assessing the damage the guy who did it comes up to me. He was on the same train apparently. What's really pissing me off is that he is being completely decent about it. His fault completely, already contacted his insurance and mine and is getting the ball rolling to fix it. I don't even get the satisfaction of telling him what a fricken' idiot he is. :mad2: He hit it with a Chevy Suburban. Apparently he was unaware what those shiny reflective things sticking out the sides are for.
The front end jammed against the fence and a small tree/bike rack is what really saved the bike. It had been pushed forward about 8 inches and the side stand was almost up. The tree held bike up along with the locked forks.
It's almost September and the bike is temporarily out of commission. Truly sucks.
