Bullitt mistake

Well, just got done watching Bullitt on TCM. Still one of the coolest car chases in a movie, Ford vs. Mopar, San Francisco hills, great visuals. HOWEVER, for the first time I noticed that both cars in the chase passed a green VW bug and then the same Bug somehow magically passed both of em.

Yea, in my circle of friends years ago, that green bug was kindof an inside joke. We used to call it the fastest VW around!

Probably not the only movie with a chase scene that is geographically impossible either. Bullitt starts in Bernal Heights near the Mission, turns a corner and is suddenly airborne in a different neighborhood and then magically ends up in South San Francisco. :drive:
