How far can it go after fuel light comes on?

I was 60km, that's 37 miles in old money, from home and about to fuel up when I realised I'd forgotten both my wallet and phone. :mad2:

I found out today that I can ride 60km (37 miles) after the low fuel light comes on. Made it home, but that bike was suckin' fumes. :woot:

I've always been wary of finding out how far I can get.....
Light comes on....I head to the nearest Shell station...

You gotta get with the times man.

No light on my Thruxton, and I've never pushed reserve on it to see how far I could get.

Mine is when trip odometer gets to 100. Hate have to flip the reserve value while riding. Always seems to happen when on the freeway.

Yeah, nothing sucks quite like coming down out of a pass having to reach down to flip your fuel tap while in a right hand turn with a tractor trailer barreling down on you and having that couple seconds while your bike springs back to life. The light is pretty nice to have. No interruption, only a light telling you that you need to start thinking about hitting a gas station. :rock:

When I first got the bike, I filled the tank, zero the odometer and ran it out of gas. Now I can glance at the odo and know about how much gas I have until I hit reserve.
