Two Stroke
I usually replace the oil filter with the new one at everytime the engine oil is changed. I have been using a stainless steel re-usable oil filter, PCS1, from PC Racing (U.S.A). Although the re-usability is apparent advantage of this product, according to PC Racing, it offers consistent filtering across the entire surface and a flow rate nearly 7 times greater than paper filters…well, it seems to sound nice.
Cleaning the filter is easy. After disassembling to the filter element, spring, and housing, each component can be cleaned using solvent, kerosene, contact/brake cleaner or any degreasing agent including dish sorp. Blowing air helps to remove particles and dry.
For those who do not mind spending extra time to clean the filter, this may be the alternative to the disposable products.
