Trade My Flat Track Racer For Your Triumph

I need a new project. I have been wanting to get more Triumphs in my garage for quite a few years now, and keep settling for Yamahas. I NEED MORE TRIUMPHS! So, I am looking to trade my race bike for your Triumph. Tell me what you have. I am pretty open. Got a crashed modern twin? Deal! Got a Trophy Trail? Deal! Got a 200mph Tiger Cub??? DEAL!!!

So, what's my junk? This bike started out as a 1981 Yamaha TT500, 500cc motocross style dirt bike. It was converted over to a flattrack racer to race on dirt oval tracks. The forks are heavy duty XS650 units, and have had the brake and fender mounting tabs machined off, and have plastic fork guards and heavy weight oil installed. The front wheel is a spooled 19" with a Goodyear DTII flat track tire. The rear wheel is a stock TT500 unit with a 19" rim and another Goodyear DTII flat track tire. The fuel tank and seat base/rear fender are Knight styled fiberglass, and freshly painted Jet Black with metallic clear coat. The handlebars are AFam flat track bend. The exhaust is a modified stock low pipe with an aluminum muffler. The engine is sort of an unknown. I was told that the piston is a Wiseco 12.5:1, which I would agree with. Not sure if the cam is stock or aftermarket. The head has a mild port job, as per looking into the ports. The valves and springs look aftermarket, but not totally sure. The reason why the engine is an unknown, is because it was complete and ran very well when I got it. There was no reason to open it up. Since this bike has high compression, it needs high octane fuel. I have been using 110 from a local dealer. The engine will start on pump gas, but will not run correctly. This engine is setup for remote start (handheld starter). The bike comes with a starter, a battery cart I started to build, a center stand, a few extra sprockets, a few extra rear tires, and some other odds and ends I have laying around. This bike was a project that I had over the summer. I wanted to start racing, so I bought a used bike and changed the things I did not like. I intended on racing it this coming season, but I have had a change of plans.

My bike looked like this more the dealer;

Justin,don't take this the wrong way,we all love flat trackers,but a single purpose,ill running,not street legal,mishmash of parts wrapped around an ancient power plant, probably won't get you many bites here. You're gonna have to cough up good dough to buy a full on Triumph runner,THEN rip it apart to build your dream . It can be done,given some seriously disturbed thinking and a fat wallet though..good luck with your hunt..
