I want a new thruxton.
I like the green standard model but wonder if I'll regret not getting the R with its upgraded suspension and brakes.
The $2000 upcharge is well worth it but the green bike sure is pretty.
Gotta sell my Moto Guzzi V7
The discs on the front wheel are so big that its difficult to check the tire pressure but they sure work well.only did130 miles today so its too early to make any meaningful comments.
I'm liking it so far
Rode another 100 miles+ yesterday and should be able to do the same today.
No complaints yet even the handlebars are comfortable.
Theyare best over 50 mph but there is not that much pressure on the wrists
The 270 crank is strange under3000 rpm and it feels like I'm short shifting at anything below 4000rpm.
Tons of torque from 2000rpm but it feels like I'm lugging the engine because of the crank phasing.
The fueling is flawless and the differences between the modes is noticeable.
Going to ride it back to back with my air cooled Thruxton today to compare
Rode 100 miles on the older Thruxton Sunday.
Never got to do a back to back comparison as the ride was so enjoyable that I never switched bikes.
It's a keeper.
The new thruxton is of course quicker and faster and my son, on the new bike, had no problem passing me. And that's not because I'm old. Damn kids
