Yeah, when I first looked at the Tiny, I thought it
was literally a downsized version of the Chronoclassic... but no.

Wouldn't surprise me though if mgadget did that
down the line - looking through their product line,
they've obviously got the electronic technology... on the other
hand, a smaller version of the Chronoclassic... probably
wouldn't be that much less expensive to produce than the original.

Nice work!

My buddy Ni**er Bob has a '49 Series C Vincent (among his collection of almost 30 brit bikes) that has a fantastic big 'ol Smiths speedo on it. Man, I'd love to put a clock like that on my bike. Anything like that on the list to be developed in the future?

Pepper - thanks - gotta see a pic of that vincent - post one up if
you have one or take one.

Hard to decide which is more iconic... that single incredible oversize
Smiths speedo on the Vincents... or the smaller dual Smiths gauges on the classic Triumphs. Both examples IMO of design solutions that cannot...
and will not... ever be improved upon. They were that good!
Big part of the magic IMO... they were shallow, especially the Vincent's -
bulk like our Hinckley's gauges have would've ruined the overall effect.
I'm biased of course... but I really do think the Hinckley gauges need to be about half the
depth they are!

As far as getting something like that classic oversize Vincent Smiths
on the Bonnie, the motoscope Chronoclassic comes somewhat close, although it's not quite the size of the Vincent's, which I think was around 5" OD...
still IMO the best looking multi-function gauge available, period. Click on
the link, and dream a little 700+ dollar dream...

The other option I've spent some time looking into with is adapting one of the various 5" Harley speedos, but haven't gotten into any prototyping yet - maybe waiting for the right project to come along.

I'm gonna dig through the old pics and scan some this weekend. I'm pretty sure I have some of Bob and me on a run up through Mule Creek/Murder Camp on the " '49's " (him on his Vincent, me on my first '49 Pan) from about 15 years ago. We've got the house up for sale right now and lots of things boxed up but I'll look never the less.

I followed the link and looked at those clocks....wow, definately a pretty sophisticated instrument package. Another handy feature to have would be a digital EGA stoichiometric function. Do you know off hand of any one making those that would look good on a bike?

Pepper - seeing a 49 vincent and a panhead side by side... killer! Moving
is chaos no matter how well planned - hope you're settled in soon!

As far as an EGA... several owners on the forums have installed
Innovate A/F gauges, and the software for the Innovate gauges looks pretty cool...

The XD16 looks like it might offer more tuning info than the G5 series:

As far as adapting it to a Bonneville... pretty much anything's possible
with a little $$. :D

agreed. Another problem I have with the Motoscope Tiny: I wish they offered a version that only went to say 130-150 mph. Seems like it would be more intelligible at a glance.
