British Customs Predators V Arrow 2-1 V Arrow 2-2

I've been searching around and haven't really found an answer to this, even on the RAT Forum (apologies for swearing!).

I currently have the Arrow 2-1 Exhaust for my Thruxton. I am coming to the conclusion that I like the 2-2 look, and still have the original pipes in the garage.

My question is which ones to go for or to keep my 2-1 set up?

So if I go for the 2-2 look, do I sell my Arrow 2-1 pipe, and buy the BC Predator slipons and get some money back, or do I spend a little more and get the Arrow 2-2 pipes?

Please would someone say what the aural differences are between the Arrow 2-1, Arrow 2-2 and BC Predators are?!

I realise that my current set up is likely to be the lightest, but I'm not THAT bothered by loss of weight. If I were I'd go on a diet!!

It's mostly aesthetics (the twin pipe is nicely symmetrical) but also sound which matter...

Many thanks...

I like the EPCO SS slipons
they look the part and sound right, maybe a bit on the loud side but not as loud as the Preds
the Arrow with the baffles installed sounds right and does not annoy the neighbors

I had the 2-1 arrow and took out the baffle. I also the BC Preds which I like very much especially the throaty tone.

I think if I were to do it again, I would opt for the Arrow 2 into 2 rather than the BC Predators. I like the look and bark of the Predators, but the sound of the Arrows I find more appealing; especially with the baffles removed. But then again, Toga's would look and sound the part too. I don't know anymore. ;)

Forgot to mention that at the moment I use the Arrow 2-1 without the baffle in. So how would that noise compare with the predators?

I have my eye on these from TEC. Made in the UK. No off-shore shit here.

Yeah, they indeed are sold by TEC (i.e. George) out of the UK, but they are 100% fabricated in China. George doesn't do his own design...just copies stuff and has it made in Asia. The pipes you are looking at are Arrow copies. He most recently stole the tarozzi rear set design and will be selling his knock-offs of these shortly.

Not hating on either George or China - if you like 'em, then run 'em - but don't kid yourself thinking they are actually designed and/or made in Great Britain. In my case, I have no illusions that the el-cheapo Pazzo knock-off levers I'm running on my bike are anything other than they are...cheap copies of the real deal. I can, however, snap off 4 sets of these levers for the price of one set of Pazzos...

Thank you for the heads up on the pipes. That really.... really blows! I guess the price should have been a give-away on where they are manufactured. I refuse to buy anything made in china. It's all shit.
