A word of appreciation

I just want to thank everyone here at NBR for being so... civilized. This is a great forum and a great bunch of folks (except for the douches, of course). I'm on another forum for my car, and dear god those kids over there are a bunch of sanctimonious mofos.

BlueJ you got it. That is why I stay here period. The commercialism, poor moderators, know it all's on other sites are a waste of time. Bonafide tells it like it is. Its his way or the highway which makes this a fun and informative place. Real nice folks here. "Press on".

To tell the truth .. I dont do much moderating. You guys police yourselves for the most part .. and while I could have asked for and probably received a bunch of volunteers to help mod the forum .. why? It just throws in multiple personalities who expect different results. You guys know the rules and pretty much know what's gonna happen if you blatantly show your ass ..

But BlueJ is prob correct .. I think it falls back onto the the typical Triumph rider's mentality of being a laid back kind of guy. I own another forum as well ... you would think it would flow as smooth as this one? .. shiiiiit .. had to lock it down, turn it off, 100s of people left, etc about a year ago. And, it's still locked down like a reform school. Once people get all emotionally involved .. it gets ugly.

I have to agree...NBR definitely has more of a community vibe to it and I appreciate the hell out of that. It seems that other motorcycle forums has this "biker" schtick to prove about itself and it is a load of horse shit. I also have been able to get screaming deals on parts through this forum and for that I say thank you.....that has been a lifesaver for me especially stationed overseas. Believe it or not but this is the only forum I have ever purchased anything off of.

+1 BlueJ. Well said. Nice bunch and different vibe. The internet is filled with assholes who put other people down but I don't see that at NBR. And I have gotten some killer deals on used parts too. :woot::beer:

I completely agree. I sold my Triumph over a year ago and still come and enjoy this forum on a regular basis. Just a great place to kick back and enjoy.

Agreed 100%. I'm on dozens of forums with my seat cover business and this place, along with the great Triumph crew in Bennington, VT are WAY over the top compared with the others.

I agree. As a Brit and very much in the minority on here { Probably more so as the only Welshman here :sheep:}, I have never been made to feel anything less than welcome.
Nobady has anything to prove here. We do what we do and that's it.

There are many Triumph Forums but this is by far the best.

The Dude is right. One set of rules and one viewpoint. We all know were we stand.

Long may it continue.

Nah .. this is an International forum. Your personal country of origin has really nothing to do with social climate here.
