Front progressive rate springs and brakes

i put progressive springs in the front and adjustable kybs off of a kawa zrx on the rear. it's a perfect combo for mild street riding especially if you're on the heavy side like me. the nose doesn't dive as mentioned and the rear stays planted. it was cheap too. i think i picked up a like...

    Predator Exhaust without Airbox removal?

the homemade ark gives one thing that the commercial ark's don't, a huge place to store all of your small stuff. i put my insurance and registration card in a ziplock bag and stuffed it back in where the aircleaner used to be. it's nice to have a little trunk to hide things. plus buying a...

    Baby's got new glasses

pic of bar-end mirror this is about the best pic i had of the mirrors. i hope this helps. fwiw just take the mirror off of the stalk and make a tear drop shaped adapter from any material stiff enough to support the mirror. both ends of the teardrop will need a hole drilled in it. the...

installed a set of epco mufflers

after reading a couple of the threads here about people purchasing the discounted epco muffler seconds on ebay i finally took the plunge. i replaced a set of emgos that i installed just after buying the bike 2 years ago. i liked the emgos for what they were and certainly for the price. when i...

    Baby's got new glasses

i did the old convert the stock mirrors to bar ends. grabbed some left-over carbon stock from work and ground down adapters. took all of about 20 minutes. they work great and i'm no longer looking at my shoulders when i ride. for those of you on a budget it works great.

New Norton Commando Test Ride Video

for example, carlos and matt have a 2007 thruxton with stroker, cams, head work, ohlins suspension, wide wheels, etc, for 15k. i would imagine the thrux would walk away from the norton without breaking a sweat. of course all of this means nothing if you're a collector that doesn't ride much...

New Norton Commando Test Ride Video

i think for the money i'd be more inclined to buy a duc sport like the dude's. the norton looks ok and i like it, but the price is retarded.

    Helmet microphones

x2 on the scala multiset. did a 3600 mile trip with a buddy and they work great. ran out of battery only 2x and that was because we forgot to fully charge them the night before.

    glowing left header pipe

it's a carb bike with 2800 miles. it shouldn't need a carb sync yet, but i'll grab my sync tool and check. i'm getting rusty on my carb adjustments, but won't opening up the air screw richen things up a bit? it seems that it's running a little leaner on the left cylinder based on the color of...

    glowing left header pipe

i did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this here. i've heard that our header pipes have been known to get hot and even sometimes glow. last night i fired up the thrux just to let it idle for a little while in the motorcycle shed. she was on the sidestand with about 1/2 choke. i...

    Gimme some of that!!!

remember it's not global warming anymore. it's climate change. apparently the global warming moniker came back and bit them in the tail. awwww...there's always someone preaching gloom and doom. remember it was chicken little that started all of this claiming that the sky was falling...

    Goodbye, Buell

for anyone interested, my local hd dealer has a 3k mile used ulysses xt that he was trying to sell me for 6k the other day. i really would like to have it, but that would make 3 bikes in the stable and i think at this point it's better to put more money towards the kid's college fund. the xt...

    TuneBoy

ok, i've got to pipe in on this. the op was obviously pissed off about things going south on his install. yep, he could have easily asked for help instead of ranting about the product, but the very first reply he gets is carnation who blasts the op's expectation of phone based tech support...

    Experience and input needed

pepper, i don't think there is any intercom out there other than maybe autocom that has more than 1/2 mile range. if you choose the autocom or jb you'll have everything you want, but it'll be well over 1k when it's all said and done. i researched this same topic about a 8 months ago and...

boy i'm glad i didn't buy a ulysses last spring as i would imagine that parts will become awfully hard to come by before too long.

Might it be time to sell?

was in your same spot a year ago. i love my thrux and wouldn't sell it for the world, but 2 up riding even with the stupid expensive corbin seat was a no-go. i took the wife to the local dealer to look at sprint st's and tigers. what did she like? a yamaha vstar 1300 vtwin cruiser. not my...

    can't see

yep. i go to church with my optometrist, as i've never had the need for an ophthalmologist. i call his office. make and appointment. i show up and pay for the visit. voila "healthcare" provided. canada- call for an appointment and wait with finger's crossed. england- call for an...
