I think that those earlier bikes with the crankcases and head painted silver are far better looking than the later bikes with black painted ones.

Test rode an 800xc last week. Very impressed. Minor gripes, a bit slow steering & not particularly strong below 4k. However I now have a problem to which there doesn't seem to be an easy solution. i.e. I want one, I want to keep my existing bikes, I don't want to have any more bikes lying...

no laquer I got a new SE about five weeks ago and there is no laquer on the rims or the engine casings.

1977 Gitane Grand Sport 50. Have had bikes ever since but never a Triumph. That however will change in four days time when I pick up a new Bonneville SE.
