WTB: Norman Hyde Single Seat & Scrambler Parts

WTB Norman Hyde Single Seat, alloy brake fluid reservoir. I would buy a King & Queen seat, preferably with a little damage. I had one that a friend had sanded the foam down to make it a bench, very comfortable. It had to be recovered so a rip or tear is OK.

    Painter

Thanks for the replies, the couple of local shops have gone to insurance jobs and do not even want to discuss it. I know where a couple of paint suppliers are in Chattanooga where I bought some touch up paint, they would probably know.

    New Toy

Scrambler Welcome, I bought an 06 Scrambler back in June and had been riding Bonnies for 6 years, I have not ridden the Bonnie since the first time I rode the Scrambler. I love the 270 degree firing order and the was it sits up higher. I have enclosed a pic of mine.

    Bonnie or Bonnie SE

IMHO the suspension would be the 1st upgrade, transforms the bike as far as handling and better ride go. Welcome to the Bonnie world.

Jets Sounds about right to me, check the color of your plugs after a nice run.

    Fuel Problem

Fuel I agree that the carbed Bonnie's are inherently cold natured but I am having to leave the choke fully on for 5-6 miles and the bike will not run over 45 mph. Before last Sep. when I had my knee worked on I would crank the bike with choke on then put my helmet/jacket/gloves on, hit the...

    Fuel Problem

Fuel Could be some critters. The bike sat for 6 months while I was having my knee's worked on. Runs well after a few miles driving time just takes a while to warm up.

    Fuel Problem

Fuel Thanks for the input, it was the tap, I have another tank with a tap and fitted that one, problem solved. I took the bike for a test run and it still takes about 5 or 6 miles to warm up. I fitted 145 jets, up from 135. I also cleaned the 42's. Something is wrong somewhere with the...

    Fuel Problem

So I went out to the shed this AM to rejet my 03 Bonnie as was spoken about on another thread. I was just going to remove the bottom of the bowls, after the 3rd bolt was removed gas starting pouring out with the fuel tap off. I could push the float up after removal of the bottom and gas would...

    Cold Natured 03' Bonnie

I have not had a chance to clean the carbs but did pull the plugs this afternoon and they are mostly white with a few spots of tan, I believe this tells me that it is running lean. My previous 03' had the T-120 replica sliencers with 42's and 145's and I believe I need to go up to al least...

    Cold Natured 03' Bonnie

Cold natured Bonnie Thanks for the replies. I have a brand new battery and use a battery tender. I did use stabil in the tank when parked for the winter and also used Sea Foam on the first tank of gas this spring. I forgot to mention I did this mod last June and the trouble began this...

    Cold Natured 03' Bonnie

After the winter hibernation my Bonnie has gotten cold natured. It takes about 6 miles for the engine to warm up, will not run without the choke all the way on and will not run over about 55 mph and kinda spits and sputters. I chopped the airbox last summer and fitted pod filter, 135's and 42's...

    new Bonneville performance

Highway speed I have ridden my 03 Bonnie at 75-80 mph all day, I went up to a 19 tooth sprocket from a 17, also had a flyscreen to knock the wind off my chest. The bike ran effortlessly and still does at 30,000 miles.

    Jumper' s knee

Knee's I have an appointment with the doc today at 14:30 hours and I know it will be a partial replacement prognosis but I will try to put it off till this fall so I can ride this spring. As Dandy Doug states getting old is not for woosies. I think you are better off going to the doc and...

    Limited Edition 06 Yellow T100 Bon ?

Aztec Gold and Black Norman Hyde had one on his site during the 03/04 time frame and a couple of UK folks posted them up on different sites after their purchase. They did not come to the states but maybe went to Oz. I like it.

    Only air-cooled?

Cooling I rode my 03' to Mid-Ohio and back about 650 miles one way and at speeds of 75 - 80 mph and it did not miss a lick, this was in temps reaching 100 degrees when we got back to Tennessee and further south. My bike has not had one problem in about 10,000 miles.
