    Official "Bonneville Seat" thread

A quick way to add about an inch of leg space is to reverse the footpegs. (That is to say, flip them and put them on the opposite sides.). Yes, it does leave the steel ground scraper facing up, but I did it for a long-distance trip, and it's quick and effective. It only takes a few minutes...

    2007 T100 Price

I was going to echo the sentiments of that being a high price, but it also depends on if it had any accessories included. Either way, I'd expect it to be pristine for that price. Now that it's sold, you can look for a better deal. I got my 2009 T100 new for $8,200 out the door. Granted, my...

    Emgo Mufflers

I like them. Downsides are that they can be a bit "raspy" and the connector pipes can be a bit "fiddly". Definitely a good cheap alternative though. I had the TORs previous, and they were a bit quiet for me, but as stated above, to each his own.

    What happens to modern classics??

This is only tangentially referring to the original post, but modern bikes in general sort of leave me cold. Never been a fan of plastic, in my cars, scooters, or motorcycles, and have spent the last 18 months slowly removing it from my Bonnie. I don't have anything against new bikes, it's...

    Bonny Input Wanted

The stock seat was an immediate change for me. That thing is quite literally a plank.

    Hagon 2810 Rear Shocks

I believe in another forum it was uncovered that it was the shrouds that were either contacting each other, or the spring was contacting a shroud. There was a solution devised, but can't remember what it was just now.

    My new(to me) ride

I have a 150cc Bajaj Chetak scooter, and I love it for zipping around town. 85 mpg and a glove box? What's not to love?

Talking my friend out of a HD nightster

Forgot to answer your question. Aside from aesthetic and riding-position preferences, seeing any Triumph is sure to be more rare than seeing an HD, so in that respect the Thrux would grab more attention.

Talking my friend out of a HD nightster

I've never ridden one, but if I were to buy a Harley, which I have no plans of doing, the Nightster would be one of the very few I'd consider. Agree with the other posters though. If it's between that and a Thruxton, sounds like he might not be set on what he wants--since the riding position...

    2009 (EFI) T-100 airbox removal

Agree with the EFI remap advice. I have a 2009 T100 with EFI, and had this done when I put aftermarket pipes on. Solved the issue.

Anybody buy a new bonny lately?

I bought a T100 about a year ago, and use it for not only my daily commute, but also for trips. Threw some luggage on her and took her out for a 2000 mile round trip to Montana last summer. She ran and handled like a champ. Can't beat it for looks.

Opinions needed: Bonneville T100 2011 or Black 2006?

With the money you save buying the used black, you can put a two-tone tank and fenders on the bike, without having to add the black engine/crankcase covers. (assuming the 06 came with those) Win-win!

need a nostalgic but affordable tire

I'm running Pirelli Sport Demon's myself. Like them a lot. Don't look vintage.

Love those old Commandos. Nicely done!

    I just fell in love!

Agree about the color scheme on that bike. I'd never buy a white car, but the white and red scheme on the SE just looks hot. Congrats on the purchase, and enjoy! (goes without saying)

What do YOU guys want if you could have it made?

I didn't read through this whole thread--so pardon if this has been suggested--but something I found myself needing recently were some decent footpegs to spread out for long rides. I don't care for the 'billy bars' I've seen, and don't want to attach engine guards, (and fit pegs to them). Is...

    The perfect handlebars

I replaced the OEM bars with some black NH "M" bars on my T100. By my calculation the "M" bars are only about 1/2" wider than the OEMs. This switch has completely transformed the handling of the bike, though. Much, much better. And of course they look much better...
