Workin on em or ridin em

Brother Dear, after about 2-3 months of work, just got his 72 Triumph trident running, not running like a top, but running and you could hear his grin on the phone and hear his pleasure in the e-mail he sent with a vid of it running. My mechanical skills have never been the best but I can do...

    Bah!! Big snow.

There's about 2ft of snow on the ground. Supposed to snow again in the Mile Hi on Saturday. March is doing exact opposite it's supposed to do. It came in like a lamb and it's going out like a lion.

    Snow and the mad man

Well, a nice storm has hit the Mile Hi. I've had three friends who were in better shape than me keel over with heart attacks over the past two Winters. One died. So being concerned about my ticker giving out I don't shovel snow. But for some reason this Winter nobody had showed up at my door...

    Triumph triangle.....

On the engine case was dangling by a small thread of whatever the factory pastes em on with. Glad I looked down when I did or it would have been on the street. When my ride was over I just stuck it back on but I don't think that will last. You think a Loctite blue would do the trick?

still pretty after all these years

I still get a charge out of looking at my Bonnie when I'm in the garage heading out. I pat the seat every once in a while. I've had it for 8 years now and I still get a charge out of it.

    Doing the math

It's 2015 my bonnie bought new in 2007. 2015 minus 2007 is 8 years. 8 years on the same battery so I bought one just in case my baby wouldn't start after the long winter. I've had the bike on a battery tender for 8 years too. Sooo I get the new battery unpacked but just for chuckles I go to...

    creeping decrepitude

Been wondering about this for some time. My health has been..... well ...... just passable for a while. I still ride for sure, but not as much. There's nothing really specific but I have a tendency to pull muscles and I can't figure out when or how I did it. Things like that. Anyway just...

    Days and nights turned around....Krap!

I tell you when you're figuring out how to pay for an expensive repair on your house and you are on a fixed income it makes for some sleepless nights. I'm all turned around and hoping to get re-combobulated soon. The weather has been very nice but not good enough yet for night riding.

For all you Commies out there

Happy May Day!! On my side of the Mountains..... It's supposed to snow... This happened like three weeks in a row last month, but it's late.... supposed to happen on Monday Tuesday Wednesday. Not Wednesday Thursday, mebbe Friday. The only redeeming quality of these late snow storms is that...

    Wohoo!! Nice weekend ahead

After having snow storms This month every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for the whole month (it seems) there's gonna be a nice weekend in the 70s. Time to at least lay a flower or two on Buffalo Bill's grave atop Lookout mountain.

    What is more fun?

I have always maintained that it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. Had more fun wringing out my smaller bikes than holding back on my bigger beasties.

    Ah Spring!

Went to a pretty awesome bike meet here in the Mile Hi yesterday. The weather was pretty nice, mid 60s, and my kind of meet. Funky bikes out front and surprise!! About four other Bonnies too. I mention this because My radar is on every time I head out the door for things like another Bonnie...

    The phone company

Been having problems with my land line for the past couple of weeks, off and on static, so a service guy finally came out today. he was amazed my internet was still working. Turned out the underground cables from 2700 to 4100 feet away were messing up so he did his thing... but another service...

    Two cops went a hunting

Well, there was a local moose that had become kind of pet to a neighbor hood in Boulder, close to the Mile Hi. A cop shot and killed the moose the other day, only he and another cop had set it up. This was because they texted each other about going for a trophy moose(that moose was a big...

    baby it's cold outside

Well, had a quick toot on the Bonnie a few days ago. Not too far, but fun as usual. Ain't none of that going on right now. It is cold and snow is on the ground. First white Xmas in a long time. I don't go out when it's 12 right now with a high of 22. Did it when I was a kid and only had...

    getting my maple trimmed

Other than me trimming my big ole tree out front to raise the branches and avoid getting fined cause they were obscuring the stop and street signs, it hasn't been given a hair cut till today. The big reason to trim it up is my insurance might go down. Lots of "widowmakers" in that big ole...

lovely day for an unintentional quickie

Went to the garage to run a quickie errand in the VW, but as soon as I opened the garage and realized it was great weather,..... I went back into the house and got the Bonnie key and off to run the 15 minute errand...... for about 45 minutes and a few miles on the Bonnie's clock. Of course it...

    Nuked Tuna

Well, the bluefin tuna being caught locally in the US have shown up with just a bit of radiation from the nuclear plant radiation in Japan. It's a small world I guess.
