    Completed 2003 Bonneville T100 Build

Great looking bike. I really like that color combination. And thanks for the good words on the garage.

    Completed 2003 Bonneville T100 Build

I have to say that I loosely call it a garage. It has air conditioning and heat in the winter. I have four motorcycles in it and I leave the car outside in the elements. When it is 115 outside it is nice to be able to work where it is 70 in the garage.

More first impressions - fuel consumption, etc.

I am lucky if I get 40mpg on my 03 T100 in every day operation. I will admit that I am a little heavy handed with the throttle. I can't get enough of those Raask headers and Norman Hyde mufflers singing down the highway. I could throttle back some and get better mileage. Actually, No I Can't!

    Completed 2003 Bonneville T100 Build

Well, almost. After three years I am a couple of mods short of completing my Bonneville build. After I "bob" the rear fender and puts some new tires on it, it will be complete. It has been a long, and sometimes expensive road to travel but the journey is almost complete. I present the, almost...

    Raask Pipes

The Raask headers are 1&1/2 where they meet the engine head and the mufflers. The rest of the header is 2" and that section is double walled. You can't see the 1&1/2 section at the mufflers because the muffler slides over that section. The 1&1/2 section where it inserts into the head can be seen...

    First impressions

I am not mechanically inclined either but the bike is pretty easy to work on. You would be surprised at what you can do with the aid of a good service manual. Another benefit that you will get is the satisfaction that the job was done right and you gained some insight on your bike. I also have...

    Raask Pipes

Update. My Raask headers have been on my 03 for a long time now. Zero bluing and they still look new. Worth every penny that I paid for them.

    First impressions

A bonnie owner who needs no mods? I have heard that they are out there but I never thought that I would actually find one. I wish that my T100 was everything that I wanted it to be. It has emptied my bank account a couple of times and I still have some mods to complete. Good for you that your...

    Staintune for 2011 Bonneville

I have Staintunes on my ST1300 and they are a great addition. They have been on my ST for three years and look as good today as they did when they were new. I have Raask headers and Norman Hyde mufflers on my 03 T100. I have lost a few MPG but the sound and the looks make up for that.

Charging Issue - Stator Voltage Check

Yes it does. I got tired of messing with the stock seat retention system and went looking for something different. I always thought that the flip up seat on the old Triumphs was a pretty good idea. Well a company called Farley & Ace Inc must have thought the same thing and they designed a kit...

Charging Issue - Stator Voltage Check

Well, looks like the R/R was the problem. Installed the Rick's R/R and everything checks out fine. Showing 14.7 at to the battery at 1,500RPMs. When I tested the system with the stock R/R in it the R/R got so hot I could hardly hold it. The new one did not get hot at all during my testing. The...

Well I thought it was finished, but...

Nice looking bike. Finished? I used to say that but soon found out that Finished is only a dream that I have in my head. The only way that I will be Finished is when I reach the Poor House.

Charging Issue - Stator Voltage Check

Good posting. I purchased a Rick's R/R and will install it tonight. I have never been stranded but I thought that I might as well replace the stock R/R before it let's me down. Sitting on the side of the road is a really bad thing.

    handlebars for short arms

I have Western Bars on my 03 and I like them a lot. Pretty wide but it goes with the territory I guess. I had to get longer cables and got the cable pack. BTW, I am 5'4" and have short arms too.

    Ace Hooigan Seat Latch Kit

Let me see what I can do. It is really hard to get good shots where you can see enough detail, but I will try.

    Ace Hooigan Seat Latch Kit

It is a very good grade of indoor/outdoor carpeting and it is stain resistant. I have some mats that I am going to buy that will ensure that any oil or bike liquids don't make it to the carpet. Now that I have most of the work done I will work on installing a big screen t.v. that drops out of...

    Ace Hooigan Seat Latch Kit

Good choice. That is the battery that I am going to use. I have had a Shorai in my DR650 for over a year and it works great. No tender and I have done everything in my power to kill it. All I need is a new mounting area and a bracket to contain it.

    Ace Hooigan Seat Latch Kit

The room will be available when I relocate a smaller battery and use the vacated space for storage. I am a little anal and my "garage" is more like a showroom for my bikes.

    Ace Hooigan Seat Latch Kit

It will move a fraction of an inch forward and back but I have no problems with it being secure. No issues so far.

    Ace Hooigan Seat Latch Kit

I was looking through the "Wish List" and saw that there were a number of members who wished that Triumph made a hinged seat like the older Triumphs had. Well, I wanted one too. I have envisioned a project were you could make some storage space under the seat. The only thing getting in the way...

    Raask Pipes

Yes they do match up. My T100 is an 03 and the fit was perfect.

    Raask Pipes

They are twin wall and I have had them on my T100 for a while now. No bluing, browning, or gold crap. They look as good as they did when they were installed. I mated them up with Norman Hyde Togas and they look and sound great. The best money that I have spent on my Bonniville so far.

    Premium gas?

I used to formulate gasoline, bunker fuel, and jet fuel for Chevron. Using a higher octane than you need in your engine IS a waste of money. My T100 gets regular, however, my 1224, 12.5 to one compression ZRX gets premium. But, you may do as you see fit. It's your money.

Blue headers - once and for all

I love the color blue and it would look nice on my blue bonnie. The problem was my headers turned blue, brown, and yellow. It sort of looked like I had driven through some crappy stuff on the road and my headers burned the crap into themselves. Call me weird I guess.
