    New thruxton

Had a first look at the thruxton this week at local dealer, lovely bike, riding position not as bad as expected in fact quite comfy. Dealer has sold 32 since it came out and says he could have sold over 60 if it weren't for the long lead time, looking at January next year now. I have 3 dealers...

    Windscreen for my EFI T100

Agree, putting the brackets under the yoke is the fiddly bit. I use summer screen in winter and dart flyscreen in summer.

    Jokes Thread

Give us a Kiss Last week, a group of Hells Angels bikers were riding South on M11 in Essex, when they saw a girl about to jump off the Theydon Bridge at Junc27. They stopped. George, the top biker was a big burly American man of 53, gets off his Harley, walks through a group of gawkers...

Top 10 tools to carry on you

Agree with carrying gas, I carry a 1 ltr container most of the time, particularly useful in Scotland where gas stations can be few and far between. No amount of tools would fix an empty tank, although I do carry a few bits and bobs just in case.

Having been in engineering for 40 odd years, I almost always found that sticking to genuine parts was the safest bet. 'Cheap as shit' usually meant 'shit'. This invariably was always the case with bearings and seals. If the cheap one is marked up same as genuine spare then it's a great deal...

    Engine Removal Project

Looking at the damage, I would say the lower one would be OK just dressing up any burrs as the sealing surface on the inner face of the bolt hole is Ok and this is where the seal takes effect. As for the one on the upper corner, some kind of metal repair like Devcon may work after cleaning up...

    Definition of a Motorcyclist

Quote from a T Shirt being sold, which I find amusing Motorcyclist noun singular (moh-ter-sahy-klist) A person willing to take a container of flammable liquid, place it on top of a hot moving engine and then put the whole lot between their legs.

    AI Elimination

Chaz Cheers for reply, yes I had friends who have paid ridiculous postage from Stateside for even small items and customs charges can be extortionate based on insurance value over quoted by vendors. I'll take you up on the resistors if you PM me when they arrive. Marty

Just what I'm looking for, do they deliver OK to UK and is there much if any customs to pay ? Thought about making this up myself believe it is a 10W 50ohm resistor, or is it the other way round 50W 10ohm resistor, I've seen it somewhere on this site but can't find it now.
