Getting the urge to trade my bike. Again.

I really have only been riding to work and back lately, too damn hot for much more. But since getting a dirt bike a few months back and riding about every weekend Ive been getting the Dual Sport Itch bad. There are so many lease roads around here its crazy and Arkansas is only a few hours away. Even the big surface coal mines around here have miles of fun shit to ride.

So heres the offer on the table... A dude over on advrider has a 2001 KTM 640 Adventure with 16k on the clock and some tasty farkles.. FCR carb, luggage, etc... He also has a 2000 Honda XR650r, these xr's are completly badass. This has two tanks with it, battery pack, radiator fan and other good shtuff. He wants to trade both bikes for my 2004 Bonneville with 30k on the clock, my bike looks pretty good and runs perfect. Im pretty sure I want to do this deal but of course Im second guessing it to death.

What do yall think?
Can I still hang out here if I do it?:loser:

I was recently offered a 2000 BMW R1100RT in good nick by a mate who just bought himself a GS. It's unregistered but has low mileage, the price is ridiculously low and to me, too good to pass up. The mate's offer came with an invite to join a road trip of Tasmania with a small group of riders in 2012. As a 63 year old suffering from numerous ailments, I have long realised that my Bonnie is a day tourer only and not suitable (for me) for long distance touring.
This Beemer is looking decidedly tasty.

I was'nt intending to trade my Bonnie but the thought crossed my mind to sell it privately to raise the bread to buy the Beemer.

:stupid2: Suddenly the thought of parting with the Bonneville hit me like a ton of bricks. That's NOT going to happen! I'd rather cut off my right arm!

Nohawk, KEEP the Bonnie!!!!

There's lots of dual purpose bikes out there. I've been secretly lusting after a kawasaki KLR 650, but then I think about it and since I'm at that age where you break easier, I guess I'll just keep lusting. Bike Porn is OK isn't it?

Keep the Bonnie and sell a kidney and what ever else you can spare and buy a Tiger 800 to keep it in the family

Maybe i can sell kidney stones

You only need one kidney. Actually you don't need any kidneys. But then you would need to go to a dialysis center 3 x's a week.

I say keep the Bonnie. But I'm a sentamental(sp?) fool. My Bonnie was my 1st. So the only way Ill be rid of her is if she gets totaled. I am lucky enough to have a couple bikes in the garage so I haven't had to think about gettin rid of the Bonnie.

Keep the Bonneville.
When I am gone, crossed over to the other side, my wife or daughters can sell the mistress. ;-))

If the man's willing to trade you two for one, that in itself ought to tell ya something right there.
Like dogman said, Scramble it, the FN heat is gonna turn down a notch or two come the end of October.
