I dunno, it looks like a twin leading shoe brake. Good enough for grand prix bikes not too long ago.

Sure,but the single disc that came on the bike originally was way better. I can't stomach any change that detracts from the performance capabilities of the bike. If it's just aesthetics, great. But if it doesn't serve any practical purpose, it's just against the grain for me I guess.
