    Ha missed me

True, but at the time it was the best reviewed/looking naked bike, and as for your Tiger 800, in that ADV style, looks as good or better than any BMW. I'm just not a form over function kinda guy, which is why the fake carbs on the Bonnevilles are just about the only negative I have to say about...

    Ha missed me

I had a Street Triple, first year, and I bought it for the styling and the random wheelies

    Ha missed me

Good points, and in the end it's semantics, though Triumph really milks the retro Ace Cafe nostalgia thing for all it's worth.

Not sure if this is retro, neo-retro, or how to label it...

looks pretty but for that money you could buy a nearly new real bike

    Ha missed me

Actually we agree on that, just that I really don't like the term "retro", which I don't think it is. A modern bike in the classic style suits me and the bike better. I leave retro bikes to the skinny jean, flat hat crowd, to put electrical tape and header wrap on..........

    Ha missed me

Retro is like calling it a PT Cruiser, whereas neo retro is like it wants to be a PT Cruiser but didn't quite make it. I like the bike based on it's own merit and wouldn't buy one because it looked like the bike I had when I was young. I leave retro and nostalgia for those people who think the...

    New new Bonneville

nice, an R or the regular? I looked at the non R the other day, it's 1800 cheaper in Canada but still a nice bike for those that don't need the Ohlins etc.

    New new Bonneville

Hah yeah. Change is always hard on some. Doesn't take away from what came before, makes it more special IMHO which is why people pay big bucks for some old stuff.

    New new Bonneville

I don't expect everyone to like them, but this is the "new Bonneville" site not the "new Bonneville air cooled" site. Just sayin'. I wouldn't like to see Triumph continuing to produce the same old, in the manner of HD, but having said that they still do make the old Thruxton, which looks more...

    New new Bonneville

That would be a nice combo. First order of 5 R's sold out, second order due late May, 5 also, all sold. No more until end of year.
