    T100 2017 with passenger

You'll be fine. I've done long days two up on my thruxton. You'll have higher cruising RPMs on the highway but that's really it. Plenty of power to still get out of the way, and be comfortable enough for at least a gas tank or two. People are power obsessed.

What is your recommended motor oil?

Shell Rotella T6. In all my vehicles. 06 Thruxton, '14 Tiger, and my hot rodded Ford Lightning with over 500 HP. Took apart my thruxton motor at 35k miles after hard riding, long trips, and plenty of high stress track use; to find the original tooling marks still on the cylinder walls, and...

What rear tyre for my 2003 T100

So you're down to metz or avons IMO. Dual sport tires are tricky, what you gain in one area you lose in the other. If you are sincerely going to explore new roads and get off pavement the the tourance is the best bet. But just be honest with yourself about the time you will spend doing so and...

What rear tyre for my 2003 T100

What do you plan to do with the bike? How do you ride? Offroad-twisties-commuting? That will really help determine what of those tires would best suit you.

    Would a rear brake caliper from a 2013 Bonneville T100 fit a 2011 Bonneville T100?

I would assume it would fit, but keep the caliper bracket itself. Not sure if the brackets differed from the cast wheels to spoked wheels (can't remember if the '13 would've had cast or not)

A "cool" oil cooler alternative to the stock oil cooler

One of the things I've contemplated, but everytime I think about pulling the trigger something else arises. Very cool functional upgrade.

    08 Bonnie to Scrambler

The ZRX shocks will work well for you. I've run a set on my thruxton for some time now. Really like them, minus the fact that for my skinny ass I need to drop the spring rate by a tiny bit. They do handle railroad track jumps well too. . .you know. . just in case.

Fuji is gorgeous. I'd really love to ride there. Great photos as always!

I'll show you mine if you'll show me your's! PICTURE THREAD

Looks nice! I think that's why I got rid of my side covers initially. (thruxtons were always color matched) It made the bike a little bulbous with that extra color. Damn I got caught in that pesky 10% chance of rain yesterday on Saffron with no rain gear. . . .Unfortunately the stock fender...

Workin on em or ridin em

Both. Prefer riding, maintenance is annoying to me, but it must be done to keep shit from breaking. However, if it's to make an improvement I'm all about some wrenching. After I move here in the next few weeks my 72 daytona project will be inside, so I have to look at the bloody thing every day...

Mr. Pavement and I had a chat.

Well the cycle is back in my hands. Felt good to have a little hooligan time yesterday while the sun made an appearance. Still a few odds and ends, new levers on the way along with a few other bits. But I was hoping maybe one of y'all had the headlight bezel-surround? Cheers.

Mr. Pavement and I had a chat.

Cheers! No ETA on the bike currently. I'm actually having a shop do some of the work as my space is limited. . . I've never had a shop do the work, but that's what insurance is for. I'm nervous as all hell about it, needless to say, but I can't complain about not being on a chilly garage floor...

Mr. Pavement and I had a chat.

The minimal road rash is healed up, still a bit tender and pink. I wrapped my right knee pretty well so the bruising didn't happen there, but below the wrap looked like it has been a few rounds with Cassius Clay, bruising is subsiding now and, full range of motion has returned. I'll have a hitch...

    Bonneville Bobber

I'm not sure about it, really. I love some old school hard tails, no real rake to them that are low. This just seems like it's trying too hard. I want to see want grimy and filthy, ratted out. Properly loved and abused. I don't know. I'm sure there is a marketplace for it though

Mr. Pavement and I had a chat.

Well, she's got some parts ordered and repairs are underway. Making a few slight changes and improvements as well. New clip ons. . .with a little rise to them. . .hell maybe even heated grips. Shit. . .does that mean I'm getting old??!!?!?! Also upgrading to LED lighting upfront, no more...

    Bonjour

Cheers and welcome! On the early new bonnevilles the CDI box was a consistent problem and many folks had to have them replaced, I hope the TTP box solves your problem!

Mr. Pavement and I had a chat.

Cheers Fender. I must say the waiting on insurance game is bloody dreadful. Really hoping they don't total her out. Good news is, the shift shaft, unlike the old bikes AND the most recent iteration, the shift shaft doesn't require breaking the cases apart. But I also noticed I dented the tank...

Thanks for the post, honestly I think I'm going to go 18/42 from 18/43. I know it's a tiny change, but IIRC the rule of thumb is 2 teeth on the rear = 1 in the front, or somewhat close. It'll give me a tiny bit more punch around town, on corner exits, and won't raise my cruise speed rev's over much.
  23. Texas94fs

Mr. Pavement and I had a chat.

Cheers y'all, I've also found some blood and hair on the bike, which corroborates the folks I was following saying they saw some animals in the median that I didn't, (target fixation trying to follow them) could've been an animal strike as well. Either way, it only takes a momentary lapse of...

I'm still running 18-43 i really like the around town performance, but on the highway a tiny bit more would be nice. maybe I'll go with a 42 rear just to get a little more. How're you liking your setup around town rbirkey? Still enough pop? I have a lot of headwork, 904, cams, and FCRs so I'm...
