Bugger, I always miss this date. I wouldn't ride to work anyway, 128km (80 mi.) along one of the busiest highways in north America is just too damn dangerous, and no fun in stop and go traffic.

I've seen 'em just laying there, and I've seen hoses routed to the back of the rear fender. I couldn't tell you which is the best method though. Either way probably would do no harm, so just experiment. Nice bike BTW.

The Staintunes are fantastic! Very well made, sound great, not too loud or annoying but you'll turn heads. The TEC 2-1 I put on my Thruxton, it sounds like a 450 MX bike...bloody awful, but it looks OK on the Thruxton. I think the 2-1 sound great on Scramblers though.

Yeah, the headers are off my '05 Thruxton. It was the only way to get the Staintunes to fit.

As I recall, years ago the Meriden guys complained about the Hinckley modern classics. What goes around, comes around.

As long as you're happy with it, that's the most important thing! I've always admired your bike, and the care you obviously invest in it. Perhaps you could use shorter screws and acorn (cap or domed) nuts instead of plain hex nuts. That would tidy it up.
