They should have done a tribute to the Triumph McQueen rode in the International 6 days trials instead of a replica of a bike from a movie which was a replica of a BMW
Nice looking bike Why did Triumph have to call it the Steve McQueen special and make it in LTD numbers it just looks like any other Bonnie with a different paint job.It just seems another way of trying to screw more money out of people.
Sorry to hear you won/t be able to see the TT races because it is 100 times better and more exciting than Moto GP and World Superbikes or any track racing will ever be .We get it on the BBC channels over here in the UK so see if you can find any of them or try Euro sport.

RAT was Triumphs answer to Harleys HOG you used to be able to pick there packs up free i/e sticker badge and patch at most UK motorcycle shows and now people try to flog them on E bay for silly money
Hinkley are not the only ones guilty of dodgy LTD editions Bonnies.The 1977 Triumph Bonneville T140 Silver Jubilee LTD edition is one of the most horrible looking bikes the old Triumph done
I think it is down to each individual to decide if they want there bike to look standard or modify it in there own way to there own budgett but at the end of the day ride it don/t hide it.
I opened a can of worms when I said POSER BIKE all I meant was some bikes are all show and no go but at the end of the day it is a lovely bike and I wouldn/t say no to it.
I am trying to think of something deep and meaningfull to finish with like you guys say but it just aint happening.
Lets face it a Bonnie Scrambler is never gonna be a serious off roader its not geared for it and its to damn heavy.I wouldn/t want one to land on me if I fell off it on a hill climb.
