Hey Ed, just now reading this thread...sounds like your going thru what I went thru with my 72 Bonneville. I got her rebuilt, new everything, and took her out for a spin, did'nt make 10 miles and she seized again...heres what I found when I pulled the cylinder Was apparently just too...

Ran thumb screws 3 turns out, made a difference, but still there....Im thinking bigger pilots, new o-rings, and a couple of washers...

Yes, new squirrel condoms, new UniFilter, and yes, that's why I pulled the carbs off....Im thinking maybe get next size up pilot jets, but not sure...popping stops when a tiny tiny bit of throttle added...seems lean to me.
